Subject: many thanks!!!
Dear Carmen,
We thought of you so many times while we were on our wonderful
adventure in Peru. We were so curious to try a Pisco Sour after your
generous gift, and we got an excellent first one at a restaurant near
the San Antonio Abbad that very night. The waitress was so proud of
their mix and Peruvian pisco that she even wrote down the recipe for
us. I am really looking forward to making it here for friends and
even our children, two of whom have already discovered the drink
while they were in Peru last summer.
Everything that you arranged for us worked out beautifully, except
for our flight from Lima to Cusco, which Lan Peru canceled! (Not your
fault, of course!) The problem was not even the weather; they just
had too many long lines to handle because it was a holiday, May 1.
Well, I argued rather vigorously and got us onto another flight,
thank heavens!
Otherwise: We managed with the altitude of Cusco, but we were always
tired and thirsty. We especially enjoyed talking to Marta, our guide
to Chinchero, and Alfonso, our driver for that trip and to the Cusco
airport at the end. We are so glad that we did not rush through the
Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu was just as spectacular as we had
anticipated. Even the train and bus rides there were exciting for the
views of the glorious Andes. For his birthday Bob got TWO birthday
cakes! I don't think that will happen again! Not only the Sanctuary
Lodge at lunch, where the waiters and other guests sang "Happy
Birthday" in English, but also the Sumaq Hotel at dinner, to our
complete surprise, celebrated with us. We were stuffed!
So we thank you once again, Carmen, for your excellent arrangements!
We thoroughly enjoyed our memorable trip!

Estimada Carmen,
el comentario del programa es el siguiente.
- primera noche en Lima en el airport hotel ok antes de seguir a Cusco
- hotel y programa en Cusco ok, pero nos falto un dia para conocer mas la ciudad de Cusco (el tour al valle sagrado es fabuloso y recomendable)
- traslado en tren y la noche en Sanctuary Resort en Machu Picchu es recomendable, aunque el precio es exagerado y no cumple con el servicio. Nos esperaron en la estacion del tren, pero no nos ofrecieron el traslado. Hay que acordar con el hotel que incluyen el traslado al/del hotel.
- Hicimos el recorrido por las ruinas en la tarde y subimos al Wayna Picchu el otro dia por la manana (muy recomendable)
- el tren de Cusco a Puno recomendable, aunque caro (buen servicio)
- el hotel en Puno muy bien
- el tour y la noche en catamaran en el lago titicaca inolvidable (falta mas promocion pero formamos un buen pequeno grupo (5 personas) para el recorrido en la isla del sol y la noche en catamaran)
- traslado a La Paz ok; hot el en la Paz ok
- tour a Tawanacu y city tour por La Paz muy interesante
- Organisamos por nuestra cuenta un tour a Coroico - la zona de la coca. Tomamaos el camino de la muerte y regresamos por la nueva carretera (es recomendable de incluir este tour en su programa)
- Hotel en Lima en San Isidro ok. Nos hubiera gustado incluir un city tour en Lima.
En total pasamos un par de dias extraordinarias durante este tour. Muchas gracias.

Este fin de semana recibí a mi sobrina Ximena y su esposo Diego, de vuelta del Cusco. Llegaron encantados de su paseo y sobre todo alabando la excelente calidad de los tours y de la atención de ustedes. Le reitero mi felicitación. Mi mujer y yo estamos planeando ir al Cusco en algún momento quizas en junio o julio, o en unas fechas que usted nos recomiende. Prefeririamos en una época en que no haya mucha aglomeración de turistas.

Apreciada Claudia,
Le escribo desde Cusco. Todo ha salido como planeado, sin inconveniente alguno. Estamos satisfechos con nuestro viaje. El viaje a Machu Picchu fue una experiencia única e inolvidable. Queda mucho por explorar y aprender de nuestros ancestros indígenas.
El Cusco todo ha salido a pedir de boca. La ciudad es encantadora, histórica y amable. Con María Meléndez, hemos tenido una relación excelente. Ha estado muy atenta y ha cumplido con su tarea de manera encomiable. El viaje a Machu Picchu fue posible a pesar de la huelga en Cusco porque salimos en el primer tren a las 8:05am. El regreso ocurrió sin problemas; María tuvo la brillante idea de recogernos del tren en la estación de Poroy y ahorrarnos casi una hora de viaje hasta la estación San Pedro.

My husband and I want to thank you and your wonderfully efficient company for a very, VERY wonderful trip. Our hostess was such a lovely young lady, the hotel, transfers, tours-all went perfectly, everyone so friendly and helpful. And of course we owe you a very special thank you for finding and returning the cell phone we lost on our way to the airport, such a "tourist" thing to do-thank goodness we had you looking out for us! We loved every minute of our stay, and hope to be able to return to Peru in the near future.

I want to thank you and your team of travel experts at Peru Travel for the wonderful trip we had last week, semana santa, while visiting Lima and Cusco. All the travel arrangement made by you for the Hotel, airtravel and tours, worked wonderfully, tours were beautifully planned, pickups at the airport and hotel were on time and very courteous and made a most enjoyable holiday. I want to give a special appreciation to your group and greeter in Cusco. Our LanPeru flight from Cusco to Lima was overbooked and even though we came to the airport early we were bumped from the flight. However, your expert arranged to put us back on this flight to Lima and saved a day of enjoyment in Lima to see more wonderful things. Thanks again and we will recommend you to our friends who are planning a similar travel to Peru this summer.
