In the heart of the Sacred Valley is this 300-year-old former convent (monastery). The cobblestone walkways are the perfect complement to the well-preserved colonial-era church on the grounds. A museum on the second floor of the main building has an extensive collection of pre-Inca ceramics. The rooms, with tile floors, wood ceilings, and hand-carved headboards, have balconies that overlook the gardens or the terraced hillsides. The restaurant has excellent regional fare and a popular Sunday lunch buffet.."

Machu Picchu is 19 miles (30 km) away, and historic sights such as the Pisac Ruins and Market, Ollantaytambo Ruins, Maras Salt Mines, and Chinchero Ruins and Market, are all between 10 and 20 miles away (15 - 35 km).
